    • Golly, I wish we would've seen your argument about primer before we painted! We followed the bundle instructions to the alphabetic character and even a picayune actress cleaning.... because our tub is so OLD.... we already had reservations as to how well it would do..... we got a little bit of the fish eye or blushing..... it would have been so expert to even have had a glance of an idea of a skillful primer to use earlier applying the tough as tile product!

  • Good luck!

  • You lot are not the only one who is so disappointed ! This is a man who is then disappointed he is thinking of contacting the visitor

only here is a woman who is very happy with her shower tub (although it doesn't show how it looks later being used and cleaned a few times)

  • open--- Hither is the satisfied woman (and her helpful friend) applying information technology to the tub part of the shower

  • I don't know what happened to give this result but I'd call the company to meet if they tin can aid you. I also wouldn't let it dry or go down the drain. It looks like a fail to me. I call back I would try wiping it up with paper towels to preserve what you can. Then show this pic to the company and have their advice.

I just looked at the reviews on the Home Depot website and they weren't very good. Out of 125 reviews only 25 were 5 stars and seventy were only ane star.

    Adept Luck

  • It was used in every apartment where I live, to 'upgrade' to a speckle stop to look like some type of bit tile. All units are perfect. It must exist the process you lot are doing or the company. I also did my own tub andl large vanity in my home. Perfect.

  • I haved used this several times and similar the impaired people who normally write reviews I DID Non FOLLOW DIRECTIONS. And that is the simply problem you might have using this product....you

No no no people, he used a cream castor. What your seeing, I think, is the foam partially dissolved by the epoxy paint. I would think he/she would have noticed that after the fact, but in the shear panic of watching this unfold , maybe he didn't notice. It does say

    NOT

    to use cream rollers.

  • I use it on every bathroom I refinish. The very last procedure before painting is very crucial. WIPE DOWN WITH 91% ISOPROPYL Booze!!!

    • Or acetone, both non needed if etched

  • It'south simply too thick of a coat with the shape of the sink and it's consistency, I runs like crazy. Best best is to start over and practise a extremely thin layer and keep doing thin thin layers.

  • Is information technology better to use the spray or the brush-on?

  • Karen Karen on Sep 28, 2020

I refinished my garden tub and the stall shower and used the brush-on; I similar it better as I feel I have more command with information technology. I think it came out pretty expert, particularly since I'grand a novice. Good Luck!

  • Instructions stated not to use foam castor. I simply finished my bathtub. I literally read the instructions 5x's. I primed w/Zinser123, but one coat After I cleaned & sanded as per instructions. Let the primer dry out 24 hrs, then painted.

The brushes you use + thin coats is everything. Allow proper dry fourth dimension. Don't over brush, continue the brushes wet in the paint. Use fresh brushes for every coat. Mine came out shut to perfect.

    • I did this work mid Dec 2020. No bug. Not really my mode, I read a lot of reviews. I read somewhere a handyman posted to make sure the prep was thorough. So far - for a temporary fix - I'k happy.

most always is best to spray a light "flash coat " initially.

It provides a "tooth" for the final heavier top coat to concur onto.

  • Looks similar you didn't prep the substrate properly, paint won't adhere, did you compose the sink ? Etching after thorough cleaning helps to adhere amend and have a fan aimed to the sink to dry every little spot to a tee , I ordinarily ringlet the start coat, let information technology cure for ane and one-half hour and second glaze spray it, then if needed a third coat( depends on color alter of tub tile or sink)
